Presidents Message
Dear Members and Friends of Dayton PAHCOM,
Welcome to another exciting year! With electronic medical records, Meaningful Use dollars, and healthcare reform, it’s been quite a busy year. It’s a good thing we have each other to rely on.
One of the reasons I joined the Dayton Chapter of PAHCOM was to network with managers from all walks of life; large group practices, single physician offices, hospital owned offices, and private practices. We have a great group of managers and you can always rely on them to have an answer to any question you can think of. We send out a lot of emails, such as “how do you handle this”, or “how does your office do that”, or “I have an opening for a medical assistant, please let me know if you have anyone in mind”. We do a very good job of networking in this organization and I think it makes us all better managers because of that.
We have changed the scholarship guidelines in 2012 and are offering more scholarship money than we ever have before. If you haven’t taken the Certified Medical Manager (CMM) Exam, now is the time! We offer study groups and we offer the exam four times a year in 2012. Please see any officer for information.
Yes, 2012 is going to be a busy year. So let’s work together to help each other through the hard times and celebrate with each through the good times. Here’s to another great year!
Sincerely,
Lisa Garrison
President, Dayton PAHCOM
